Yalong BayS

Yalong Bay--Jiyang District, Sanya

Known as the "No.1 Bay Under Heaven", Yalong Bay in Jiyang District, Sanya, Hainan, features a 7km crescent-shaped white beach with fine sand and 7-9m clear blue seawater. Surrounded by tropical rainforests, it has high-end hotels, marine activities like diving, and is one of Sanya's iconic coastal resorts. It is one of the iconic coastal resort destinations in Sanya.

Wuzhizhou Island

Wuzhizhou Island--Haitang District, Sanya

Wuzhizhou Island, a national AAAAA scenic spot in Haitang Bay, Sanya, Hainan, covers about 1.48 km². Nicknamed "Lover's Island" (for its heart-like shape) and famous as a Personal Tailor filming site, it has a tropical marine climate, 6-18m seawater visibility, and rich seabed corals—earning it the title "Top Diving Resort in China". It offers over 30 sea/land/air activities (diving, helicopter tours, etc.) and scenic spots like Lover's Bridge, making it a popular island destination for sightseeing and leisure.

Tianya Haijiao

Tianya Haijiao--Sanya

Tianya Haijiao ("Edge of the Sky, Corner of the Sea"), an iconic coastal and national AAAAA scenic spot in Sanya's Tianya District, Hainan, gets its name from two giant rocks inscribed "Tianya" and "Haijiao". Long a symbol of China's southern mainland, it has tropical charm with coconut groves, blue sea, and key rocks like "Nantian Yizhu" (once on the 2-yuan RMB). A popular photo site, it also has celebrity inscriptions and a Love Square, blending nature and culture.

Nanshan Temple

Nanshan Temple--Sanya

Sanya Nanshan Temple, in Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, is a Tang-style Buddhist temple named by Zhao Puchu and completed in 1998. Home to sacred statues, its highlights include the 108m sea-standing Guanyin and the Guinness-recognized Gold and Jade Guanyin. Blending Buddhist culture with tropical coastal scenery, it’s known as the "Buddhist Sanctuary by the Sea and Sky.

Coconut Dream Promenade

Coconut Dream Promenade--Sanya

Coconut Dream Promenade is an iconic coastal landscape in Sanya Bay. Stretching over 20 kilometers along the bay, it’s lined with coconut groves and adjacent to the blue sea. It’s a popular spot for sea viewing, strolling and shooting sunsets, especially beautiful when the sky glows at dusk.

West Island

West Island--Sanya

West Island (formerly "Daimao Island"), a national 4A-level scenic spot in Sanya Bay, is Hainan's second-largest inhabited island, covering 2.68 square kilometers with a 400-year-old fishing village history. Surrounded by a national coral reef reserve with clear seawater, it's a paradise for diving and marine sports, also featuring red culture of Xidao Women Militia and unique cultural landscapes like coral-stone old houses.

East Sea

East Sea--Sanya

Sanya East Sea includes Dadonghai and Xiaodonghai, near Luhuitou Scenic Area. Dadonghai, a free 3A-level scenic spot, has smooth sand, warm water and complete facilities for water activities. Xiaodonghai, a national reserve with rich coral reefs, is a quiet snorkeling destination.

Wuzhi Mountain

Wuzhi Mountain

Wuzhi Mountain, Hainan’s highest peak (main peak 1,867m), lies in south-central Hainan. Named for its five-finger-shaped peaks, it’s known as "Hainan’s Roof". As the core of Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park, it has high forest coverage, is the source of Wanquan and Changhua Rivers, and features rainforest wonders like buttress roots and cauliflory. A Li and Miao ethnic settlement, it offers Li brocade culture and long-table banquets, blending nature and humanity.
Fenjiezhou Island

Fenjiezhou Island--Lingshui

Fenjiezhou Island, a national 5A-level island scenic spot in Lingshui, Hainan, is about 60km from Sanya, covering 0.41km². Known as "Hainan's most suitable island for diving", it has attractions like Moonlight Castle and Haixin Pavilion. A boundary of climate and administration, it offers glass sea snorkeling and manta ray interaction.

Nanwan Monkey Island

Nanwan Monkey Island--Lingshui

Nanwan Monkey Islet in Lingshui, Hainan, is China’s only tropical island macaque reserve, housing ~2,000 macaques. Take Asia’s longest 2,138m cross-sea cableway for views of Danjia fishing rafts and watch macaque shows. Adjacent Daidai Island, with a 5.9km pristine beach, is a popular photo and leisure spot.

Qingshui Bay

Qingshui Bay--Lingshui

Qingshui Bay, a national 4A-level scenic spot in Lingshui, Hainan, lies on the golden coast of 18°N. Its 12km coastline has the "singing beach" (one of three worldwide), with half reefs and half sand. A filming location for The Vanishing Her, it offers snorkeling, yachting, and is equipped with star hotels and food streets.

Xiangshui Bay

Xiangshui Bay--Lingshui

Xiangshui Bay, in Guangpo Town, Lingshui, Hainan, is 18km from the county seat. Named for springs from Xiangshui Ridge and seawater emitting fragrance in March and September, it stretches about 12km. With silver sand, green coconut groves, clear seawater (18m visibility), and landscapes like "Qingtian Stone" and "Xianren Well", it’s adjacent to Fenjiezhou Island. It’s a quiet, undeveloped spot ideal for fishing and strolling.

Qilou Old Street

Qilou Old Street--Haikou

Haikou Qilou Old Street, one of China’s first "Famous Historical and Cultural Streets" and a national 4A-level scenic spot, has over 600 Nanyang-style arcade buildings. With "shops below, residences above", the buildings blend European carvings and local elements, sheltering from sun and rain, and preserving local vibes like "dad tea".

Yundong Library

Yundong Library--Haikou

Yundong Library, located at Haikou Bay, is a popular "seaside bookstore". Designed by a renowned architect, its white curved shape resembles floating clouds. With abundant books and sea views through floor-to-ceiling windows, it combines reading and sea-watching, becoming Haikou’s cultural and check-in landmark.

Xixiu Beach, a national-level winter training base for sailing and windsurfing, has gentle beaches and clear seawater. It combines water sports and coastal leisure, with the sea-view platform and coconut avenue as popular check-in spots.

Wanlv Garden is a large open tropical coastal ecological garden in Haikou, covering about 1070 mu. Dominated by coconut groves and lawns, it combines leisure walking and sea viewing, and is a popular spot for citizens and tourists to get close to nature.

Shimei Bay

Shimei Bay--Wanning

Shimei Bay is a national tourist resort located on the eastern coast of Wanning, Hainan. It has a nearly 7-kilometer-long beach surrounded by lush hills and was praised as the most beautiful undeveloped bay in Hainan. There is a provincial - level nature reserve of Vatica mangachapoi Blanco and an uninhabited Jiajing Island in the bay. It became famous after being the filming location for If You Are the One in 2011.

Bali Village, located in Xinglong, Wanning, Hainan, is a national 3A-level scenic spot. Centered on Indonesian overseas Chinese culture, it gathers Southeast Asian-style architecture, characteristic handicrafts and food, showing strong Nanyang charm.

Wenchang Tongguling, a national 4A-level scenic spot and nature reserve, is located in Longlou Town. Its main peak stands 338 meters high, known as "the First Peak in Eastern Hainan". With connected mountains and seas, exotic rocks and lush forests, it offers a bird's-eye view of the magnificent sea and carries the historical legend of General Ma Yuan leaving a bronze drum.
